Blog Day 2007It’s Blog Day! It’s my first year doing this. I only heard about it through the PPP postie blog. I had never heard of it before and decided to give it a look. It’s really rather interesting. And a great idea in my opinion. Now, you’re probably wondering, “Well, what is Blog Day?”. Well, to quote the official website:

BlogDay was created with the belief that bloggers should have one day dedicated to getting to know other bloggers from other countries and areas of interest. On that day Bloggers will recommend other blogs to their blog visitors.

So, with that said, here are my five blogs for all my readers to check out.

  • Mike is a great writer/blogger/dude. And he often blogs about all the great stuff bloggers can find out on the net and all kinds of other awesome stuff. He has an awesome web comic as well. I personally think it’s adorable, but you can see for yourself and form your own opinion on how cute it is.
  • I’ve been visiting Malin’s sites for a while. She recently turned what I believe was a web directory into a personal blog. She’s opened other sites since then as well. Malin has all kinds of cool content on her site. And she reads a lot of great books too. ;)
  • I’ve been reading Heather’s blog for a while now, and I have to say I am jealous. I could never blog as well as she does. And I love to read all the opinions she has on stuff. I personally could never blog my opinions. I’m afraid someone I know will read them. *stares at in-laws*
  • I just found a blog a while ago. I think I was referred to it for something I was working on. And I saw that Mike posted about an article on it as well. Which is the exact article I was shown. Court writes about several things in the blogging world. How to get linked, how to make money and more. It’s all very interesting. And I try to keep up to date on it all.
  • Amy is a mom life myself. She also has her own mommy blog as well as a personal site. I’m not that talented or focused, but I admire her for doing it. She also has another blog that was given to her that she writes in about blogging tips. Someday I’ll be just like her. But not anytime soon!

That’s it for my Blog Day post.
Be sure to check out who other participants are blogging about.

Do you use StumbleUpon? Then you should check out this traffic exchange. You could get your site/posts stumbled by lots of other people, as well as stumble some really cool posts yourself.

In the Blog World

Posted on August 28th, 2007 by Jenny

I visit The Blog World daily. It’s a great resource for bloggers. The website focuses mainly on how to go about making money on the ‘net, but also offers ways to network with other bloggers and build your links. The author just opened a group for people who use StumbleUpon plus other networking sites and want their posts noticed. I’ve already joined and I urge you to do the same. It’s really helped my readership. All that aside, The Blog World is a great site. You can a lot of info there, and more. Give it a look.

Check out Babblz.Com

There is a new Digg for parents. And it’s called Babblz. I heard about it over on Kat’s bloggy and I was like OMG finally. Something for us. And no more guessing where to put our entries on Digg. :) It was started by Makendra and her hubby. And what a great idea. Did I already say that? :D Anyway, the site is still pretty new and she is running a contest for people who sign up and submit their stuffs and become part of the community. I really encourage it. It’s such an awesome place. So what are you waiting for. Join today!

MomZoo

Posted on July 27th, 2007 by Jenny

I came across a new site today while surfing thru other mommy blogs and resource sites. I’ve been searching for a place or places to talk about raising a boy and maybe get some advice from other moms who have or had little boys of their own.

This community that I found seems or looks somewhat new. They have message boards, blogs, profiles, and a referral system that pays. I’m fishing around inside the site right now, and I have found some pretty nifty things. They even offer you your own profile page with all kinds of features (see mine for an example). This looks like a really awesome place to meet other moms and make some new friends along the way, as well as share your stories and advice with eachother.

Check it out for yourself.
