Ski Equipment

Sean and I are planning on placing some loan money aside so that we can take a much needed vacation. Sure, once we get into our own place things will be a bit more comfortable but this doesn’t mean that going away where it’s just the two of us enjoying a new experience isn’t going to happen. He’s been trying to convince me that we should learn to Ski. Now, he’s kind of klutzy and I have absolutely horrible ankles due to many slip and falls over the last 23 years. So I’ve been poking around through different sporting good…more»

$1800

For quite some time now I’ve been involved with companies who offer free items for their exposure. You follow a few simple rules and you’re given your (sometimes rather expensive) gift for free. By doing this I have received a free 20GB iPod, a 27″ HDTV, $375, and an 8 Megapixel Digital Camera. All I had to do was sign up for an offer and refer friends, family and anyone else who’s interested to do the same. I need some help on one of my largest free gifts to date. For the past few years I’ve been working on gaining…more»

Washington NC, Real Estate

I’ve done a bit of side tracking while I was going through my daily Internet routines. I came across therichcompany.com where you can search for washington nc real estate. It’s rather expensive to own homes in this particular town. The cheapest one I found was in the $90,000 range and it didn’t look that appealing. The most expensive was in the 2 million range, but considering how gorgeous the house was, I would certainly pay top dollar for it myself. I’m not sure if I’d want to move further South though. I’m not really a big fan of the heat…more»

Digital Cameras

I’ve been looking into a few accessories for my digital camera. I have the Olympus PS-350 and by the time I’ve added the accessories to it, I’ve found myself wondering if I should really even bother at all. A lot of money is involved and for the same amount I could invest in a bulkier higher megapixel camera with more attachments that come standard. I’m also wondering if I’ll ever be able to go back to film. I know from the get go that if I ever get to the point of owning my own home, I’ll definitely consider turning…more»

Going Bald

For thousands of years, men and women alike have been suffering from Hair Loss. It could be genetic, it could be stress related, or its just the environment in general but it’s something that everyone has had to deal with at some point in time. For me, while there is no consistent hair loss in other members of my family there is thinning, which I’m already experiencing it. For a while I was convinced that it’s the wrong shampoo mixed with hard water, but it turns out that my mother and grandmother have been thinning out since they were both…more»

Supernatural Activity

I’m waiting patiently for 9pm to roll around. Tonight marks the new season of one of my favorite shows on Television. It’s the only one that I’ll go out of my way to sit down for every week until the season is over. It’s “Lisa Williams – Life among the dead” it’s on Lifetime and it’s followed by a new show “America’s Psychic Challenge”. It’s just a whole evening of supernatural activity and I truly can’t wait for it. On Halloween another one of my favorite shows comes back “Ghost Hunters” on SciFi. I’ve always been interested in the supernatural…more»

Real Estate Investing, Trump Style!

At some point in time, I’m sure you’ve found yourself trying to figure out how Donald Trumps hair manages to never move, admit it – you know you have. For me personally, however, I’ve also wondered how he could possibly make the kind of money he’s made in Real Estate over the course of the last few decades. Now, there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s a good business man. But how good do you have to be in order to bring in hundreds of millions of dollars a year. On top of that, how can you consistently do…more»

Mobile Broadband

I’m currently in the process of searching for a mobile broadband company. Knowing that I’ll be spending quite a bit of time in the car over the course of the next few weeks, I’d like the ability to still have Internet access, no matter where we happen to be. I’ve narrowed it down to the two companies that are known the most for their mobility; Sprint and Verizon. I’m wondering if anyone has had either one of these services. Which would you recommend? Which gives the best bang for the buck? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Sprint has the…more»

The beauty of WordPress

I’ve had a blog for a little over nine years now, so I can honestly say that I’ve tried almost every blog program and website out there. I started off with a blogger.com account that I then linked to my very first domain name. From there I went to LiveJournal to house a more personal blog and since then I’ve bounced around from program to program on my domains. Greymatter, B2, Movable Type, Express Engine, and now WordPress. I can also state that I don’t ever plan on using anything else but WordPress for the life of my blog. A…more»

A pretty uneventful day.

It’s actually starting to get a bit chilly in the house. The sun is going down and the cooler air is rolling in. It’s supposed to get down to about 50°F tonight. For me that means I’ll have the fan running in the bedroom instead of the air conditioning, which will mean a break on some of the noise in the room at night. I’m waiting for Sean to get some more work done so we can take a drive down to the mail box. I’d take the walk but it’s too chilly for it considering my hair is still…more»
