Pyramyd Air

For me, technology isn’t limited to computers and Internet. Sure, everything you find these days has some kind of computerized chip in it but that doesn’t mean you’re limited to hooking something up with a small LCD monitor in order to use it. A prime example is airsoft guns. PyramydAir.com is a great Online resource for all things Air Guns. I like guns, I don’t quite know why. I’ve shot a few rifles, had my hand on a hand gun or two in the past but I’ve never actually owned one for myself. I like going to the shooting range,…more»

Friendsation

I just wondered across a new up and coming site called Friendsation.com. It’s another social networking site that targets Dating and Live Chat. There are numerous Chat related mediums available to you. Registration is free and you can send instant messages to other members. There are live online chat rooms and there are also live Phone Chat options for members to talk with people all over the United States for free. This kind of makes me think that they’ve managed to work Skype into the mix, but I didn’t really get to poke around the site for too long, the…more»

ED

For the past five years, the rise in email and comment spam has given everyone a reason to cringe whenever they go to log into their inbox. You can get so many different links telling you to purchase Viagra, or grow a larger penis with many of the magic pills out there. I’m uninterested in growing a larger penis, mainly because I’m female and if I did in fact have one, then some doctors have some serious explaining to do. Knowing that I’m going to spend the rest of my life with someone, I do like to read up on…more»

External Hard Drives

If it weren’t for my external hard drive, I probably wouldn’t be as organized as I am.  Having the ability to access the drive from both my desktop and my laptop has proven to be nothing short of wonderful for me.  My problem – however – is the fact that I have to keep my desktop on even when I’m using my laptop.  This to me seems like a complete and total waste of the electric bill.  I barely use my desktop but it’s constantly running because I’m on my laptop all of the time and I need to access…more»

Electronic Recycling Center

Every day, another computer bites the dust. While that may sound pretty harsh to say, it’s also not very far from the truth either. I know many people who are using computers that are over 5 years old and while to many that seems like nothing – in the computer world with all of the upgrades to components, keeping up to date with these components is the only way to maintain the ‘perfect computer’. Both Mac and Windows based PC’s are easily outdated after just a few months but that’s why technology is as cool as it is. The next…more»

Do it Yourself

In order to save money, Sean and I are going to bite the proverbial bullet and do a lot of the work around our new home by ourselves. A few years ago I ordered a disk from some random freebie site that was based on like 250 Home Depot “Do It Yourself” tasks. Our initial purchase was going to be an older home, so I looked into details on how to wire older homes.  Knowing that the wiring has been there since the late 70’s, we figured an upgrade on it wouldn’t be such a bad idea.  Since that house…more»

Emptiness

My laptop feels a bit empty.  I reinstalled Windows last week and still haven’t gotten around to installing any of my programs back to it.  I need to put Dreamweaver back on here so I can get back to work on some websites, and I also need to install Thunderbird and link it to my external hard drive so I don’t have to keep logging in via Browser anymore.  The only programs on here are Firefox and AIM, plus virus and spyware protection.  For now it’s really all I need, but when I head up to NY this weekend I’m…more»

Show me some sun!

I’ve been dreaming about going on an exotic vacation for many years now. A few times, the option of going to the Caribbean Islands has come up. My aunt has spent quite a bit of time in Aruba, and I don’t know of a single family member (other than my sister and I) who haven’t been to the Bahamas on more than one occasion. This evening I came across caribbean-guide.info. I spent some time floating around the Aruba section because that’s probably the one place that’s interested me for quite some time now. With this site you can learn about…more»
