Holiday’s are fast approaching

It’s finally Saturday, a day when I can just sit back and relax and not have to worry about a damn thing.  All work has been completed, I’m up to date on a lot of paperwork and I’m tempted to just curl up in bed and wait for Monday to show itself.  Unfortunately that isn’t going to be the case.  In order to avoid the final Christmas rush, we’re going to get all of the little odds and ends shopping accomplished.  The bulk of the gifts are taken care of, it’s the little side gifts like cards and trinkets to…more»

Relaxing Weekend

Sean and I used our Comps up in Atlantic City this weekend.  A free room for three days / two nights is always a great excuse to get away from work for a little while.  While we didn’t do that well gambling, we did spend a lot of time catching up on sleep that we’ve been skimping on over the course of the last few weeks.  We’d wake up about 11am and gamble or just relax in general until about 4am.  By 6am we were asleep and by 11am we’d be up to repeat the day.  I’ll admit that on…more»

Health Insurance is hard to find sometimes…

While some people believe that being self employed is the absolute best route to take, those of us whom are self employed with no form of health insurance have it pretty hard. Anytime we get sick our business suffers because we’re unable to work to bring in the income that we’re currently living off of. If you’re on a fixed budget then excess spending really isn’t an option, so naturally we’ll overlook things that are truly important. I’ve been looking for a private health plan for quite some time now, unfortunately I’ve been unable to locate a health insurance quote…more»

Overjoyed

Sean has surprised me with an early Christmas gift. He’s known for quite some time now that it’s been my absolute dream to own a Mac so naturally when money loosened up and Christmas rolled around – he made it a point to go out and buy one for me. Last night he came outside (I smoke outside) to let me know that his computer was on the fritz and I told him to just take my desktop until you can figure out what’s wrong with yours. I have my laptop anyway so it’s not like it’s a big deal,…more»

Organization at it’s finest!

When it comes to running a business, even if it’s primarily Internet related it’s hard to keep track of all of the paperwork. Each client has their own file and I have numerous notes and contracts that I need to keep track of at any given time, especially when I need to pull up someones file for quick work. I keep everything from billing information, login information, contact information, a step-by-step listing of everything I’ve done or need to do for them. All of the folders are organized, color coded and tabbed for easy browsing. I keep both a digital…more»

Ooh Pretty!

The snow stopped about Midnight and something told me to head outside and check things out. I looked across the street at the light and saw an absolutely gorgeous tree covered in a blanket of snow. Yesterday the tree was just finished losing it’s last red leaf. I’m unsure of the actual type of tree it is but I know it’s gorgeous for about 8 months out of the year, so that counts for something. While this is basically a meaningless entry, I figured I’d share a pretty picture. Technorati: Photography, Winter, Snowfall

Catch a Rodeo

My aunt is currently down in Texas because she’s doing some training with Verizon. When she’s not in office, she’s enjoying the sights that the state has to offer. She went online in search for things to do in the Huston area and picked up Houston Rodeo Tickets. I’m not exactly sure when exactly she’s going but she’s certainly looking forward to it. I’ve watched Rodeo’s on television a few times and I was always interested in them. I’ve always been interested in ‘farm’ related animals. Bulls, Horses and even Pigs, I’ve always found them to be pretty cute.   Now…more»

Do you believe in Tarot?

While I was floating around the New Age section of Barnes & Noble the other day, I found myself staring at a box containing tarot cards and a how-took book on how to properly use them. Being as it was only $5 and I was interested in Tarot for quite some time, I figured I’d pick them up. They’ve basically sat on the shelf until I was able to really sit down and learn some things. I read through the manual to understand what the proper steps were in giving myself a reading. After clearing my mind and focusing on…more»

First Official Snowfall of 2007 for Rehoboth

This morning I woke up feeling a little bit under the weather. It got pretty cold last night and I’d left the window cracked a little more than usual. Even under my down comforter I was still a bit chilly. I looked out the window to see snow falling and sprung out of bed with excitement. This is the first official snowfall here in Rehoboth and based on the fact that it’s this early in the year something tells me it’s going to be a gorgeous snow-filled winter. At least I hope that’s the case. Karen absolutely hates the snow,…more»
