Filled with Excitement

On Friday I have an interview with one of the companies I’ve applied for.  I’ve been searching for design and marketing jobs for quite some time now and was very surprised when I found a company that’s located not even 10 minutes away from me and they’re looking for a web designer.  I’m hoping it works out well for me but if it doesn’t I guess I’m going back into the wonderful world of retail.  I’m hoping that’s not the case, but who knows what the future holds for me. With that news aside…I need some coffee, I’m really lagging…more»

Vegas Vacation

Sean and I are hoping to take a trip to Las Vegas sometime in our future. For quite some time now we’ve gone to Atlantic City and have floated around places like Harrahs, Ceasers, Showboat, Bally’s and even the Borgata. As of this moment I’m considered a Diamond member, this means that my “freebies” have really skyrocketed to amazing levels and I can get just about everything I could ever dream of. I get offers in the mail where I can fly for free from a Delaware Air Port to Las Vegas and then stay in a comped room for…more»

Snap Happy

I don’t really know what’s gotten into me today but I’ve been a little snap-happy with my digital camera today. I was showing Jackie some of the interesting things that go on around the house during the day.  She’s a professional photographer and even told me that some of the pictures I snapped at random came out beautifully.  I’m hoping to play around some more and maybe start up some kind of a stock photo kind of site where I can sell the images off.  Living by the beach you’re open to some very beautiful and creative images that spark…more»

Increasing Traffic

I’m not sure if it’s based on the fact that a lot of my visitors are back in school or if things are just dragging along but I’ve noticed that my traffic is beginning to drop and is only in the 800-1000 hits per day mark, as opposed to the 3500-4000 I used to get. So I’ve been looking into numerous ways to getting more website traffic. I’ve even considered looking into a few outside companies based on the fact that I don’t have the time to put in the effort on my own SEO work these days. I’ve been…more»

MacBook Air

Recently Apple introduced it’s new MacBook Air. It weighs about three pounds and based on Apple’s description, it sets the new standard in ultra-portable computing. Screen sizes range on the small side, I’m personally a fan of laptops that are 15.4″ and up. The largest screen you can get with the new MacBook Air is 13.3-inch widescreen. With a full sized keyboard you wouldn’t really notice much of a difference in typing. The wireless has been upgraded as well. Something that caught my eye was the Remote Disk option, you can use the DVD or CD drive off of a…more»

Planning Ahead

Lately I’ve been having a lot of repetitive dreams about owning my own home. I’m not sure if it’s based on the fact that Sean and I are both ready to get moving and be on our own or if it has more to do with the fact that in the long run it would probably be cheaper to own our own home instead of renting ANYTHING within a 100 mile radius of where we’re currently living. Either way I’ve got many ideas floating around and thankfully with the use of the Internet I’ve been able to locate almost everything…more»

Aww man!

I put in a bid on quite a few different laptops that were in my price range. Unfortunately they all had about a day or so left on bidding so I didn’t win any of them. Part of me is wondering why I was so insistent upon getting an AMD notebook two years ago instead of the Intel for basically the same price. Then I could just wipe Windows off this thing and install Leopard and be done with it. Even Sean’s notebook is AMD, so I couldn’t even offer a trade off. He doesn’t use his laptop so that’s…more»

Power Seller

I’ve been poking around on eBay for the last couple of nights. Knowing that I need a new laptop and I’m on a very strict budget I figure I’ll go to the source of all things inexpensive and float around for a little while. I was fortunate to find a listing for a few Intel based laptops that contain no operating system. The price range on them are anywhere from $5 to $200 depending on how close it is to the sale ending. As of right now I have a $1.25 bid on a laptop that contains about 2GB of…more»

Stand Still

That’s exactly what I feel about life right now.  For the past few months Sean and I have been tirelessly working on getting our own apartment.  Finally it dawned on me that there’s an easy way to do it, it would just take a bit of time to work things out. Not only do we need our own place but I also desperately wish to go back to school.  So I figured I’d kill two birds with one stone and look into the obvious option of a Student Loan, numerous companies will give you the option of up to $40,000…more»

Self Hypnosis?

Have you ever read something that kind of made you tip your head to the side and say “Huh?”. I just came across a site with a few topics on self hypnosis and I have to say I’m in one of those ‘huh?’ kind of positions. I’ve heard of hypnosis before but I’ve never seen anyone put themselves under. Wouldn’t you need someone talking to you to bring out the emotions your trying to capture, and then have someone there to help you understand them when you come out of your hypnosis? The site I’m looking at is instant-hypnosis.com. There…more»
