Stylish Design

When I get a little bored, I like to float around the Internet to other Design websites so I can check out my competition. It keeps me on my toes and gives me an insight as to what clients currently want so I can focus my attention on learning the new tricks of the trade. Doing things this way has helped me to build a pretty unique portfolio over the years. Today I came across a website called Stylish Design, it’s The blog where web design and style have met. At first I thought I was going to come across…more»

Skimping & Saving

With a very small balance in my bank account I’ve been taking my limited resources and still managing to maintain a clean environment.  I’m to the point where I’m low on supplies such as bleach, toilet bowl cleaners, sponges, detergent, fabric softener and other basic supplies.  So what do you do?  Go to Walmart and hope to bring home the cheapest items on the shelf just to get the job done?  NO! – You go to the local Dollar Tree and pick up all of your supplies for $1 a piece.  The reason I love this store is everything is…more»

Keeping Busy

I’m the kind of person who likes to keep myself busy. Unfortunately, for the past few days I’ve been busy trying to figure out how to stretch some bills around so I can take the little money I have and invest it in a new place to house my websites. I’m not talking about the server aspect of things, I’m talking more along the lines of my reseller account. I house all of my personal and business related sites on a different server. This way if something goes down it’s easy for clients to still get in touch with me.…more»

Doom and Gloom

The past couple of days have been on the “blah” side.  I know that isn’t really a descriptive term but it’s the only way to really give you the general feel of how things are going.  It’s been raining for the past four days (on and off) and it’s beginning to take it’s toll on just about everyone.  It’s hard to want to stay awake when there’s no sun shine to keep your attention, you know?  Sure, I’ve done A LOT of cleaning over the course of the last couple of days but that still doesn’t balance out the lack…more»

Road Trip!

Sean and I have set many goals for our relationship, so many that we’re probably going to need to win the lottery in order to achieve them all. Our biggest goal is to travel across the USA, making it a point to stop in every single state before returning home. We admit that it’s going to be a long trip, probably taking a few months to complete, but if we’re financially stable enough to accomplish it, then that’s the route we’re going to take. I’m still hoping to win that $46 Million PowerBALL Jackpot but I doubt that will ever…more»

$8 RX Glasses

While I absolutely hate to admit it, part of me believes that I’m beginning to lose my eyesight. When you look at a screen all day long and rarely focus on anything else, things just don’t work as well as they used to. I still have better eyesight than anyone I know, probably because I come from a family where almost everyone needs glasses in order to see, and my sister is one of them but she’ll NEVER admit to it until she’s completely blind and attempting to drive somewhere. My father on the other hand, he’s needed glasses on…more»

Lawsuits don’t stick

While I hate the idea of a lawsuit, I know that sometimes they’re very important. A few years ago my a family member of mine went in for surgery on both of their ankles. She’d had trouble walking for many, many years and when things got to be too much to handle she decided to have something done about it. The surgeon was a little full of himself and instead of paying close attention to important details, he kind of went quick with it and managed to cut a nerve or two and did nothing to repair them. A lawsuit…more»
