I need a new keyboard.

I’ve been poking around online for a new keyboard to use with my iMac. While I’m anal about using the keyboard/mouse that came with the computer, I’m also in need of something a bit larger because of how badly my hands bother me if I’ve been using the computer all day. There’s no real support with the small keyboard that comes with a Mac. I would like to plug in my older one but it’s not compatible with this particular setup so I guess I’m going to have to look elsewhere. It’s something that’s going to be a future purchase…more»

Moving out of the city…

For the past few days, Karen’s sister has been down here looking into a new home. She’s moving down to Delaware after a 20+ year stay in her current house in New York. She’s found a few different properties, she’s looked into a mortgage and has basically taken it from there. I’ve also been looking into information on Mortgages for my own personal hopes and dreams. Supposedly it’s a buyers market but even with a 30 year fixed mortgage you’re limited as to what you can get, and where you can find an even remotely decent home being sold for…more»

Kind of sucks…

It’s unfortunate but we’re soon going to have to put Candy down because she hasn’t been doing very well lately. She’s about 16 years-old and she’s been on numerous medications, the most recent one for her heart which is about 3 times larger than it should be and has some fluid behind it, we’re unsure if it’s fluid in the lungs or around the heart. Either way it’s nothing anyone is happy about. I don’t like having to put an animal down but the unfortunate thing about it, they don’t live anywhere near as long as humans do. They’re a…more»

Valentines Day

I don’t typically do this but I was in the mood for photo posting today so that’s primarily what this entry will be. It’s Valentine’s Day and Sean being the romantic he is typically doesn’t make a big deal out of things, publicly. We discussed what was going to happen this year and based on finances we decided that spending a quiet evening at home is the route we’re going to take. So tonight I’m going to be making dinner, and last night I went bake-happy and made cupcakes with cute little hearts on them and dual-flavor icing just to…more»

Domain Registration

I’m kind of unhappy with my current domain registration reseller so while I’m also looking around for a new web hosting company, I’m also looking into registrars as well. There are quite a few different companies out there that are both higher and lower in price than the one I’m currently working with. While I have come across valuable companies like paylessdomains.com.au, I have to say that there are ones that are a bit cheaper in pricing as well. At the same time, anything under $12.00 seems to be on the low-end considering the jack-up in pricing on domains lately…more»

Random Updates

Taking time away from my hosting search, I’m also playing in photoshop for a new template here. This one has been up long enough and it’s a bit plain in comparison to some of the things I’ve been doing lately. There isn’t enough really enough color or texture in general going on here to hold my attention for very long. I’m also slowly removing links and things from my sidebars. It’s effecting me financially so removing them would be the best option to take right now. Technorati: Site Updates, AGn Designs

Still Undecided

I’m still undecided when it comes to what company I’m going to go through for webhosting. I’ve been poking around sites like web hosting choice just to get a general idea of where the best place to go will be. At the same time, I’m going through numerous support desks just so I can get the answers I need when it comes to server mods and the lack of 500 errors so I can do what I really want to do with my site. I absolutely LOVE using Mars Edit but can’t use it with my current host so there’s…more»

Where’s my magazine?

About a month ago I signed up for a monthly subscription to LaptopMag because I’ve been spending about $7 a month in the supermarket to get my tech fix for the month. I signed up for it back in early January and still haven’t seen one. It was $12.99 for a 16-month subscription and I haven’t seen a single issue. I refuse to go out and spend $7 in the store when I was already charged the $12.99 from the company in order to even GET the magazine in the first place. I’m going to have to send them an…more»

NY Style in a Delaware tourist attraction?

While living in a tourist town means horrible numbers for business owners in the area, Sean is still trying to convince me that I should start up a restaurant. He knows how much I love to cook and in comparison to the Italian-style eateries in the area I think a touch of New York would be the proper way to do things. I will admit, however, that the water down here has a lot to do with the final outcome of the food. I’ve noticed that my tastes have changed because of the public water, I’ve gradually slipped over to…more»

Last.fm’s new fan!

In real life you build friendships and relationships with people and it’s primarily based on similar interests. Obviously if you had nothing in common with someone you wouldn’t really spend much time with them, what’s to talk about? So how come up until recently you could do that in real life but couldn’t online? In January I signed up for a site called last.fm. You spend the better part of your time listening to music while you’re floating around online so why not publish your playlists an easy way and deal with a program so technologically advanced that it will…more»
