Hrm…

I’m starting to wonder if I’m going to have to log into Paypal and put a cancel on my ink order.  Someone just informed me that the site is a scam and they never received their product.  I’m still going to give it a few more hours just in case something does happen but I am a bit concerned with the fact that they said all orders received before Noon (Pacific) are shipped same-day.  I ordered about 4 in the morning so of course the order was sitting there waiting for them when they stepped into the office this morning…more»

Cisco vs. Linksys

Since moving has been put on hold due to a massive change of plans, Sean and I have been keeping track of everything we’re going to need when we do eventually move out. As of right now the setup we have with the office and just the computer based items in general is working out fine for us. However, that’s based on the limited space for everything due to our confinement to just the office and the extremely small bedroom. We know that when we do finally get our own place, whether we’re renting or actually purchasing – we’ll more…more»

I’ve made my choice.

Before I finally went to sleep last night I made the final choice of what I’m going to do with the printer.  Since all of the drivers work properly, and I now know that my sister can easily view the living room computer – I went ahead and ordered ink for the printer.  I originally started on sites like staples.com and microcenter.com because that’s where I would typically purchase my ink.  I then realized that I’ve written about websites around the Internet whom offer the same ink at much cheaper prices. At first I was going to go through inkers.biz,…more»

Diamonds are a girls best friend….

While I would never consider myself to be a “girlie girl”, I do appreciate a lot of the things that make women tick. I’m all for diamonds and expensive gifts, so much so that I almost fell out of my chair when I found out that Sean was buying me a Journey Diamond Necklace for Christmas. I’ve seen the commercials for it numerous times and every time I saw it I drooled over it. So naturally there should be no surprise when I go poking around on the Internet to see what else I can get my hands on. I…more»

Drivers Help, don’t they?

I was lucky enough to find the driver for my Epson Stylus C80 to be compatible with Vista.  However, it’s going to cost me about $80 to reload it with new ink considering the cartridges have been empty for lord knows how long, it did attempt to print a test page though and very few lines showed up on the paper, so at least I know it works. So I went poking around on Staples.com as well as Microcenter.com and found that it would just be cheaper for me to purchase a new printer all together.  One that, from the…more»

Didn’t spread enough cheer?

This Christmas seemed rather empty. While I was pleased with everything gift wise, as far as decorations are concerned – I feel as though I gave up at some point.  The only real lighting in the house was around the tree, there were a few candles on the coffee table surrounded with seasonal goodies as well, and there were even some rope lights strung around the porch to give off some extra light.  For me, however, that still doesn’t feel like the full blown Christmas that I’ve become accustomed to over the years. I’m used to going a bit overboard…more»

Networking with Vista

For Christmas I bought a new computer for my father.  He was on an older Compaq with Windows XP.  After fiddling with a few wires and changing things out, he’s now setup on a new Acer system (new 17″LCD and everything) with Windows Vista Home Basic.  At home we were able to finally get Vista and XP to work on the file sharing as well as printer sharing aspects of things.  Unfortunately that isn’t the case at my fathers house because we’re unsure of what settings we changed at home in order to make all sharing possible. Sean was able…more»

Gambling and Online Casinos

A few weeks ago Sean and I went up to Atlantic City to take quick weekend vacation. Unfortunately we didn’t win any money and came in just under breaking even so while it was a loss financially, it was still nice to get out of the house for a few days. Since then I’ve been itching to get back there, so much so that I’ve been pushing Sean to bring me back up for Valentines day. I’m not sure if that’s actually going to happen but it’s nice to look forward to it of course. Since then I’ve been floating…more»

After Season Shopping

My sister and I are going to do some shopping tomorrow afternoon. This year we both cleaned up on gift cards so naturally we’re looking to do some serious shopping. With about $400 extra dollars in hand we’re going to get some much-needed clothes shopping done and hopefully I’ll get to swing by Microcenter and head into the Mac store so I can fill up on a few things for the Mac. This year I was hoping to get a printer for Christmas, it was on my Amazon wishlist but I don’t think that’s the case so of course I’ll…more»

Resolutions to make you think…

It’s officially the New Year and from what I’ve been reading, everyone is hoping to stick to their resolutions. I came across a few blogs today where people were listing the pretty common ones. They’re looking to lose weight, quit smoking, try harder at school or work, try out a new hobby at the first of every month, and so on and so forth. The ones that blew me away – however – was a women talking about saving some extra money for special things this year. At first that didn’t really say anything different to me considering it’s a…more»
