Too good to be true

I wouldn’t consider myself psychic by any means but there are certain times in everyones life when they have a dream that becomes a reality sometime in the near future.  A few nights ago I had a dream that I was sitting at my desk and designing a site for someone, now this really isn’t that uncommon considering it’s my day job but that’s besides the point.  I wasn’t on MY desktop, my desktop is very easily found.  It’s this big bulky black case with blue lights sitting on a very pale desk.  I noticed that my mouse didn’t have…more»

Radio in HD?

For Christmas last year, my father bought me a 20″ HDTV and it’s always been a little bit fuzzy but that’s mainly due to the lack of digital cable in the house up in New York. It didn’t change much in Delaware, even though we were all convinced that there was HDTV in the house, but you can’t really predict something like that when you’re using a tube TV in almost every room of the house. Now that we have the wide screen in the office, Sean and I have been looking around for different pricing on new HD quality…more»

What ‘cha get me?

A big box showed up in the mail yesterday addressed to Sean.  He wouldn’t let me read the shipping slip, let alone open the box.  I’m itching to find out what’s in there but he informed me that it’s my Christmas gift and I guess I’ll have to do some real snooping around over the course of the next 23 days.  I’m excited to find out what it is, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out sooner or later.  I already know that he bought me something from Zales but it’s hard to hide a FedEx box when I go…more»

Lap of Luxury

A few months ago I took out a personal loan so that Sean and I could move to Ohio and begin our lives together under a new roof. Unfortunately that didn’t work out for us as well as we’d originally planned considering his brother moved down to Florida and he was really going to be the only one we had out in Ohio. There’s no point in moving to another state by ourselves if there’s no chance at outside human contact. So we’ve been looking into areas down here in Delaware and if we happen to find something in our…more»

New PC for Daddy

I bought my father a new computer for Christmas.  The one he’s currently on now is a few years old, and since he was sharing it with my sister for a while, it was overloaded with crappy programs and files that really began to slow things down.  That and the fact that it’s only like 256-ram on XP Home.  So I went all out and got him a new desktop with Vista, I also went out of my way to get him a new monitor so he could throw out the crappy CRT that he’s been working off of and…more»

How sweet can he get?

Sean surprised me with a really sweet early Christmas gift. He knows how important the holiday season is for me so he’s gone out of his way to make it special for me since I can’t be back in New York with my family. While I was doing all of my final shopping at Kmart yesterday, I noticed that he wasn’t really around but he typically gets lost in the Electronics department of any store we go into so I really wasn’t too concerned there. When we got home he told me to look in the trunk and I found…more»

New Toy

While I didn’t accomplish a lot today, I still managed to get quite a few things done.  As far as Christmas is concerned I’m about 80% completed as far as wrapping gifts are concerned.  Everything is already paid for and either here already or in the mail, so I know I’m done with the shopping aspect of things.  Sean is now the proud owner of an LCD-HDTV and rather content with it.  We picked it up from Best Buy on Monday.  It was on sale and the color quality was amazing so there was no real question about it.  It’s…more»

Tech Savvy?

Any tech savvy person is looking for numerous ways to save a little money and still get the excellent quality that they’re looking for.  There are quite a few sites out there that offer everything from discount computers and even excellent pricing on the best HDTV’s that companies have to offer.  So why don’t more people use these resources?  Before I went shopping for my Christmas gifts, I made it a point to float around bargain sites so that I could not only gain insight on where the good deals were, but also read up on product reviews and comparisons…more»

Oh Joy!

Come Monday I’ll be doing some pretty heavy duty holiday shopping. I don’t like waiting until the last minute, by then it’s slim pickings at almost every store, everywhere. I did read that more than 30% of all of the holiday shopping this season will be done online so I want to assume that there won’t really be many people at the mall this coming Monday. I’m just going to cross my fingers in hopes that I’ll be able to find everything I’m looking for.  Sean is fairly easy to shop for, but he drops hints for quite some time…more»

You’re kidding me, right?

Last night Sean and I went over to the tree lighting downtown.  Driving down the main strip you’re greeted with gorgeous lights wrapped around the poles, and even the mechanical reindeer that many people have on their lawns during the Christmas season.  All of the store fronts are filled with lights and over crowded with people looking to see the tree from every possible location on the street surrounding the tree.  Then you hear the countdown and turn your head as quickly as possible expecting to see something spectacular, you then realize it wasn’t worth the trip. Now, I don’t…more»
