Home is where the fleas are?

On Saturday we packed up a few suitcases as well as the dogs and headed to a hotel in the area.  Karen and I dropped a bomb in the house and Sean couldn’t be around for it because the dust in the air would be enough to kill him with how bad his asthma is.  Now, I’d personally prefer to just drop a fogger from Walmart and call it a day but she (who reads too much into EVERYTHING) is convinced that the fogger would either kill the dogs or not kill the fleas and a whole other mess of…more»

What are your plans?

Thanksgiving is around the corner, Sean and I are going to spend a quiet evening at home with a Turkey, all the fixings and of course Bella waiting patiently under the table for scraps of food to fall.  I’m still behind on getting things accomplished due to a lack of a computer these days.  We’re in the process of packing up the house so we can bomb and my only computer as of right now is the desktop, so that’s why I’m sitting on Sean’s right now.  My laptop is on the verge of death, the battery is dying on…more»

Behind…

I know I haven’t been around much but there’s a lot going on with family as well as the living situation right now, so it’s certainly taking it’s toll on me. I’m still in search of a home for hubby and I.  We got the unfortunate news that the complex we were looking to move into is currently between owners and no one really knows what the outcome will be when the new owners finally do get their hands on the grounds there.  So we’re back to looking in Delaware, we’re not overly happy about it but there’s obviously a…more»

Not half bad…

I’m not really an extreme shopper, even if I had a few million in the bank I’d continue to enjoy the wonderful world of Walmart and other fine discount stores. Why? Because there’s no real reason to spend money on things that you’ll rarely use. I don’t see the point in someone spending $150 on a pair of sneakers that are just going to get dirty anyway, but hey that’s my Payless Shoe Source mentality talking here. I’m also speaking in regards to personal usage, when it comes to the business world this is a completely different story. Those who…more»

Take me to the Beach…

For the past month or so I’ve noticed that I’m in somewhat of a funk.  Life is good right now so it’s not really an emotional funk, I’m just having trouble brainstorming ideas for new clients, as well as current personal projects.  Up until the launch of the summer season down here, Sean and I spent quite a bit of time at the beach.  I’m not sure what it is but there’s something about the way the waves hit the shore that spark my inspiration to astronomical levels.  Now, going almost every evening did have a wonderful effect on me…more»

Morpheus Photo-Morpher

A few months ago I spoke of a program named Morpheus Photo-Morpher. While I don’t spend a lot of time morphing images together, I do enjoy playing around with the program whenever Sean and I take new pictures together. While we’ve only been together for a little over a year now, we know that in some way we were meant to be together, so it’s only natural that I keep some kind of a scrapbook for whenever we do things together. I have quite a few pictures of us from the beginning of the relationship until now and when you…more»

Looking for a Camcorder

While it seems to be nothing more than an unnecessary splurge, Sean has been looking into purchasing a camcorder.  He likes to video tape things, I honestly don’t see the point but I also don’t understand men and their toys either.  I know that he’d like to video tape the road trips we’re going to be taking in the future, he’s also interested in video taping the process of renovating the new house, and just the quirky things that him and his brother tend to do together.  It’s not like this will be plastered around YouTube or anything, it’s just…more»

Online Universities

For quite some time now I’ve been looking to go back to school and there are numerous options out there that have kept me interested but thanks to a few outside resources I was able to find out that the bulk of the schools I had in mind were nothing more than diploma scams and there isn’t one job in the US that will actually accept a degree from any of these colleges. So I went back to the drawing board and I’ve come up with a few schools that I’m looking for an opinion on. There’s a lot of…more»

The DS is getting BORING

Sean bought me a DS on Valentines day this past year and I’ve been a pretty avid player of it for quite some time now.  I started off with Super Mario Brothers because that’s the game I grew up on but over time you realize that the little fat plumber (who never has any tools) is really just a boring freaking game.  So I upgraded myself to a little bit of speed and picked up Sonic Rush.  I’ve played this game to death, literally, I’m to a point now where I’m done beating my own scores and actually reverting back…more»

Setting some money aside for Christmas.

I have to say that I’m unhappy with the fact that Christmas makes itself known in July, by this time people are usually done paying off the gifts from the last holiday season and they’re already reminded of the ones they’re going to have to purchase over the next six months. I think it’s absurd but when it comes to the world of making money off just about everything, I can see why businesses do this. With Halloween being over with, almost as quickly as it came, I know now that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. After that is…more»
