Not worth the money…

I sat down last night and read “If I Did It”, the book that has had people buzzing around the Internet.  I found it to be very difficult to read, based heavily on the fact that so many details that weren’t made public where actually in this book.  A dear friend of mine is a clairvoyant, and he touched the book and instantly felt sick to his stomach.  OJ did the crime, the fact that he was able to get away with it shocked the nation, and this book very obviously shows his guilt.  I’m going to side with the…more»

Increase Your Traffic

Recently, Google updated their Algorithm for page ranks. I used to be PR5 but now I’m bouncing between a PR3 and a PR4 thanks to their updates. I’m not the only one this update has effected though, thousands of websites on the Internet have dropped in rank. Even MySpace and they were once the number one site on the internet with a PR9. Now they’re only a 7 – this is with millions of hits a day and lord knows how many back links. This is another way that Google has screwed me out of something over the years. I…more»

Why must you?

I was fixing a WordPress theme for someone tonight. I don’t understand why people use the CSS that they do. Why must people remove margins and padding around the paragraphs? Do you like seeing everything bunched into one large blob? Why must you assume that the people using your theme think the same way? The thing that bothers the crap out of me is that this was a SPONSORED theme. Someone actually paid money to get their link permanently attached to this particular theme and it’s not even that popular of a subject, it’s really a basic theme that only…more»

WordPress

For years I’ve gone through every weblog program known to man. I started off on blogger.com with the FTP support, then I graduated to Greymatter when it was the “cool thing to do”. I then moved to B2 which was my first taste of PHP based blogging. From there I played around with Movable Type but found it to be too much of a hassle to really get it to do what I needed it to. I dabbled in CuteNews for smaller sites, quickly upgrading to AcidBlog – a script I wrote quite some time ago. I’ve also gone through…more»

Something funky going on…

Today it reached about 72 degrees, right now it’s pushing 45.  This change in weather is taking it’s toll on just about everyone.  Sean can barely breath, even Bella seems a little under the weather and I just haven’t been feeling well for the last few days. There’s a tropical storm heading this way, not sure how much damage it’s going to do but hopefully it doesn’t linger around for too long.  We’re hoping that we’ll hear from his brother this weekend so we can head out to Ohio by Monday.  Let’s just hope that it actually happens that way…more»

Ecommerce on the rise?

I’m not sure why I’m still sitting here at 11pm but I’m sure my addiction to completing deadlines early has a lot to do with it. While waiting on a response from a client I’ve found myself floating through quite a few job posting sites such in search for a few new jobs to pick up before we actually make the move out to Ohio, this way there’s work waiting for me and it’ll help get that loan paid back much sooner than expected. I’ve noticed a rise in business leads looking for a designer for their new online store.…more»

Waiting too patiently

It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard from Sean’s brother.  We’ve gone ahead and sent him a letter under the assumption that he managed to misplace or damage his cell phone, something he’s known to do.  We’re just itching to get out of here so every second of not knowing what’s going on is starting to drive us insane.  The office has been cleaned up a little bit so at least it’s livable.  Sean found someone online who’s interested in taking a few computer items off our hands.  We’re getting rid of the 19″ CRT that I got with…more»

Random Chatter…basically

The weather changes are taking their toll on me, this afternoon I was sweating my ass off and now I’m freezing since the sun went down.  I think it’s like 50°F outside right now, it’s only going to get colder.  I should probably just soak in a nice warm bath and then enjoy a cup of tea and get started on my new books. The other day I was kind of itching to get out of the house and do some shopping. The loan check has cleared but the money I spent was based on my Paypal debit account anyway…more»

Top USA Online Casinos

I’ve been poking around a new site in dedication to top usa online casinos.  It’s a pretty basic looking site when you first load it but it’s pretty in depth once you start poking around the different sections.  I looked into Rushmore Casino first because it’s at the top of the list with a 9.8% rating.  I assume it’s a 1-10% rating on the sites involved.  You get a full break down of everything from the overall rating to software rating, trust factor and even bonus and promotions.  There is also a quick review of the casino by the site…more»
