Upgrades

I just upgraded WordPress to the latest stable version (via Fantastico at least).  I’m waiting patiently for version 2.3 to be made available for Fantastico so I can play around with that version, there were a lot of interesting features added that I’m interested in trying out.  Most of it is TinyMCE based because there are supposedly hidden features in earlier versions that you can now access with 2.3.  It’s worth checking out for all of you wordpress fans.  I’ve been using WordPress for years, I started using it when it was first created by Cafelog as B2.  Now there’s…more»

Winter wolves

I’ve been doing some surfing around the ‘net for some new pc games to play. I’ve kind of gotten sick of the ones that I’ve been playing on a regular basis recently. You can only play Snood for so long before you want to actually throw shrunken multi-colored heads around. I came across Winter Wolves, it’s a newer site where you can download a few different games. I downloaded Quizland because I’m more into puzzle games than anything. I downloaded the trial because I don’t see a point in paying for something before I try it. I’ve only ever done…more»

Sony Walkman S600 and A800 Series

After a few false starts, Sony is firing two shots across Apple’s bow with its latest flash-based music players, both of which play music, photos, and videos and offer Clear Audio Technologies for enhanced sound quality.  The A800 and S600 leave the lame Sony Connect store behind and support AAC, MP3 and WMA files.  They also sync with the more popular Windows Media Player 11 and work with all the major online music stores under that umbrella (including Napster, Urge and Yahoo).  The A800 features a two-inch QVGA LCD (good for watching video) and comes in white, black, silver and…more»

You Can Submit!

When surfing around the Internet you come across many different things that can easily spark your interest. Lately for me it’s been all about home improvement with my upcoming purchase, but at the same time I do still have work in mind and everything from search engine marketing to blogging and even podcasting still sparks my interest. For a while now I’ve been interested in podcasting, this is mainly due to the recent rise in it, it’s a lot easier than typing things out – I’ll tell you that much. There are so many different programs that you can use…more»

And the shopping continues…

I haven’t made any purchases yet, I’ve just been adding random things to the bookmarks.  At this point there’s more on the list than their is space in the house we’re looking into so naturally these are going to be future purchases.  I just like wide open floor plans and filling a house with unnecessary items really makes no sense to me.  So instead of the floors, I’ve been looking towards filling up the walls with funky artwork.  I like a lot of different materials but I’m partial to iron wall art because there’s just something about it that I…more»

Acting Up

My cell has been acting up for the last few days and I wish I knew why.  I know it’s not the service because Hubby is under the same plan and his phone is working just fine.  I just don’t like not having the ability to make a phone call unless I flick the antenna.  I think it’s because of how crappy the phone is, I don’t use it that often.  It’s not scratched up,  I’ve never dropped it.  I just wish I could figure out what was wrong.  Maybe it’s time to take a trip and get things changed…more»

October’s Coming!

October is just around the corner. While my birthday falls on the 22nd, I care more about the 31st. This is when all of the Halloween costumes come out of the closet for display on any and everyone you can find. I’ve always loved Halloween, there’s so many things to do that it puts every other holiday on the back burner for me. I see it as the only holiday that Hallmark hasn’t completely taken over. You buy a few bags of candy for the kids, you travel to the best Haunted House in your area, you dress up in…more»

Wigging Out

My eyes are starting to flake out on me.  It’s probably based on the fact that I’ve been on the computer longer in the last 24 hours than I’ve been in the last week.  I’m building up the “To Buy” list for the house, getting a lot of work completed and numerous other things as well.  I figure that the only way to really get to where I need to go is if I can manage to bring in at least $100 a day over the course of the next few weeks.  That gives me about $3,000 a month, and…more»

Preparation

For the past few days I’ve been building up a pretty large list of things that we’re going to have to purchase when we move into our own place. A lot of the items are going to be a requirement before we even make the move in regards to plates and small kitchen based items, so I could probably just pick up a few pots and pans from Walmart or something before we go. This way I at least have the ability to make something our first night there. The rest is just things that I’d like to pick up…more»
