After a few missed emails, and one finally getting a response I’m unhappy to say that I wasn’t accepted to one of the companies down here that I was truly hoping to work with.  There are a few other options but they really aren’t what I’d like to do, so instead I’m just going to stick with a retail job in the area so I can get my own car and then worry about traveling to other towns for design positions that are out there.  The second option for me, besides retail, was a company about 10 minutes from here…more»

It’s taken a little while for it to really kick in for me but I’m convinced that I’m never going to get that “rejection” notice from the job interview I went on a few weeks ago. It’s Valentine’s Day and Sean being the romantic he is typically doesn’t make a big deal out of things, publicly. I woke up today to quite a bit of screaming. Karen was having some trouble with the dogs this morning and considering everyone’s been a bit on edge lately I think she’s close to her breaking point considering Candy’s current health. That’s exactly what I feel about life right now.  For the past few months Sean and I have been tirelessly working on getting our own apartment.  Finally it dawned on me that there’s an easy way to do it, it would just take a bit of time to work things out. Sean and I are going to be working our butts off for the next few weeks so we can get some money together and find our own apartment. We’re doing every little odd and end job that we need so we can make enough money to move up North. Sean and I used our Comps up in Atlantic City this weekend.  A free room for three days / two nights is always a great excuse to get away from work for a little while.  While we didn’t do that well gambling, we did spend a lot of time catching up on sleep that we’ve been skimping on over the course of the last few weeks.  We’d wake up about 11am and gamble or just relax in general until about 4am.  By 6am we were asleep and by 11am we’d be up to repeat the day.  I’ll admit that on…more»
