I picked up the loan on Monday.  It was quite a birthday gift to see that many zero’s on a check with my name on it.  We drove back to DE last night and deposited the check this morning.  It should be cleared by tomorrow and hopefully by this weekend we’ll be on our way to Ohio.  By next weekend I hope that we’ll be home owners and just packing up to get out of here. While I know that I’ll be moving soon, part of me (deep down) wonders if I’ll be able to handle it.  I’ve moved before, so this really isn’t a big deal to me but up until this point I’ve lived under someone elses roof.  I’m now moving into something that’s entirely my own and I wonder how I’m going to take it. Halloween is just around the corner, it’s really not going to be very eventful this year though. Based on the fact that we’ll be packing up and moving all over the course of a few days, there’s no real time to enjoy the Holiday. We may just go out to dinner and rent a movie, thankfully there aren’t any children in the complex that we’re going to need to entertain with candy so that’s an OK thing by me. Sean has officially surprised me.  In preparation for the move he’s starting to go through all of his things and junking the stuff that isn’t coming with us.  There are a lot of containers in the office that are filled with computer parts that he’s scrapped from computers he’s owned or have come across over the years.  There are components in there that aren’t even usable anymore, he’s just hording them.  There are 56K modems and old graphics cards that probably aren’t even compatible with the mother boards that are coming out now.  It may only be a start but…more»

After the mail came today I decided to call HSBC and ask what the hold up is.  I still hadn’t heard anything in regards to the loan and everyone I’d spoken to, before today, told me that in order to move forward with the loan I’m going to have to wait on it.  So I call up HSBC Corporate and after four people have my social security number, I’ve finally spoken to someone who actually knows what he’s doing.  He explained to me that the letter wasn’t printed until the eleventh, so that should show up in the mail within…more»

I’m waiting patiently for 9pm to roll around. Tonight marks the new season of one of my favorite shows on Television. It’s the only one that I’ll go out of my way to sit down for every week until the season is over. It’s “Lisa Williams – Life among the dead” it’s on Lifetime and it’s followed by a new show “America’s Psychic Challenge”. It’s just a whole evening of supernatural activity and I truly can’t wait for it. On Halloween another one of my favorite shows comes back “Ghost Hunters” on SciFi. It’s actually starting to get a bit chilly in the house. The sun is going down and the cooler air is rolling in. It’s supposed to get down to about 50°F tonight. For me that means I’ll have the fan running in the bedroom instead of the air conditioning, which will mean a break on some of the noise in the room at night. A cold front came blasting through here this morning. Torrential down pours mixed with heavy thunder and lightening have given way to what I consider real Fall weather. The sun may be shining but it’s only 60°F (15°C) outside. There’s a nice cool breeze airing out the house at the moment, I’ve made it a point to open as many windows as possible. While my dog is good on going outside to do her business, there are two other dogs in the house that have been wee-wee pad trained and missing the pad completely is just a way of life…more»

While it’s still rather warm in the house, there’s this wonderfully cool breeze coming through the windows behind me.  I’ve got myself setup on the couch because I’ve grown sick of keeping myself locked in the bedroom all day.  With the weather cooling down, having only one window in the room that’s currently being blocked up with an Air Conditioner, it’s kind of hard to enjoy the nice weather.  So I’ve wandered out to the living room where I’m currently enjoying six wide open windows all very active with a nice breeze that has yet to lift over the course…more»
