Around the house.

I’ve been doing some floating around ABC Distributing because of all of the housewares they have to offer.  I know it’s kind of low-quality stuff but when it comes to random necessary things – it’s worth it.  I’m definitely going to pick up the 25-Pc. Kitchen Towels because they come in numerous colors, I’m probably going to pick up the Taupe to mute things down around the house or the Moss to match the green/brown theme of the house.  Either way it’ll all blend together nicely.  I also found some really cute table accessories as well.  Sean is a pretty…more»

Rocking Away

I’ve decided that I want to have a nice rocking chair on my porch.  We may wind up adding a screened in porch to the side of the house later on down the road but from the get go there’s going to be some kind of a porch when you first walk up to the door and I’ve always loved the little ‘country’ look of having a nice rocker on the porch.  This, of course, depends on whether or not there’s going to be any room for it but I’m sure we’ll be able to have one somewhere. I don’t…more»

Solar Powered Living

I just did a paid post on another domain in regards to solar living.  I’ve actually been looking into this for quite some time now.  A few months ago I came across a link online (that I wish I could find now) but if you’re interested in changing your home or business over to solar power you can get a grant from the government to completely pay for it for you.  It saves on energy costs and it also saves on energy emissions.  You don’t have to worry that you’re polluting the air with dioxides that are harmful to the…more»

Speak English

This may strike a nerve with some, but I really could care less.  I needed to get in touch with HSBC today because I still haven’t recieved any of the paperwork that I was supposed to get this past weekend.  Going down to the post office, there isn’t anything down there for me either, so naturally making the phone call to the main branch was the only option.  A man named “Micheal” answers the phone, and hardly speaks a lick of English.  With all of the money that banks have, why in holy hell is it impossible for them to…more»

Daily Grind

I’m having trouble deciding what I’d like to do today. Sean asked me if I was interested in going out a little while ago but I refused, then I took a shower and now I’m kind of half/half if I actually would like to go anywhere. I know I’m hungry, but I’m sick of wasting money on food when I could probably just throw some chicken in the oven and wait a while for it. I’m just not in the mood to cook. I’ve only been eating about once a day and now I’m going on 24 hours since I’ve…more»

School is just around the corner…

Right now the main strip in town is packed with people hitting up all of the outlet stores, and the larger scale discount stores (kmart/walmart) in order to get some shopping down for the new school year. Bratty kids are crying about how “they never get anything” while a mother is pushing along about $500 worth of clothing that the kid so graciously threw in the cart for her. Makes me happy I’m not a mother, I only have hubby to do that for me, and at least he knows when to draw the line. [tags]School[/tags]

Who honestly uses books anymore?

I know, coming from someone who programs websites for a living this seems like a rather strange statement but alas, it’s a true one.

Lego’s make the world go round!

I came across an article today that amused me to no end. How many of you have made something with Lego’s in your lifetime? Did you ever set out to build some massive structure but never really followed through with it? What if I told you that someone turned 200,000 legos into an Aircraft Carrier that weighs approximately 300lbs?
