HDTV’s at discount prices!

Any TV buffs out there would probably appreciate this. Today I came across Second Act. They sell refurbished HDTV’s and have both Closeout HDTV’s, Overstock HDTV’s and even standard refurbished electronics in general. They are an authorized dealer of Sharp, Samsung, Toshiba, Denon, Marantz, JVC, Hitachi and many more. They claim to be the lowest cost provider on the Internet. Second Act also offers a “Great Deal of the Day” for even more discounts on your favorite products. You can sign up for their email newsletter or even the RSS feed so you can keep on top of their sale…more»

Cellphone Customization

I’ve never really been into it before but lately I’ve been doing a lot of customization when it comes to my cell phone. I have a prepaid Motorola W370 from Tracfone. It looks a lot like the Razr only it’s thinner without the Digital Camera and Bluetooth options. I don’t personally need any of that though, what’s the point? I have a digital camera that is usually in my purse 100% of the time and since it’s an 8 Megapixel camera (Olympus SP-350) then I really have no use for digital images via Cellphone. What I have been looking into…more»

European Vacation: Spain

Have you ever been interested in traveling the world? There are quite a few places of interest for me and all of them, oddly enough, fall in Europe. I’ve always had an interest in going to Italy because it’s where my family came from. After that I’ve been itching to get up to Ireland considering I’m more Irish than anything, I’m just unsure of where to start considering my family bounced around for many years before they settled in New York back in the early 1900’s. Another place of interest for me is Spain, this is probably due to my…more»

Diamonds are a girls best friend….

While I would never consider myself to be a “girlie girl”, I do appreciate a lot of the things that make women tick. I’m all for diamonds and expensive gifts, so much so that I almost fell out of my chair when I found out that Sean was buying me a Journey Diamond Necklace for Christmas. I’ve seen the commercials for it numerous times and every time I saw it I drooled over it. So naturally there should be no surprise when I go poking around on the Internet to see what else I can get my hands on. I…more»

I think I found a new service

I think I may have found a new server company, I’m just going to have to do some more reading into their services – as well as their location.  Right now the company I’m with is running out of both Kentucky and California.  I’m not even remotely content with either data center to be honest, but that’s besides the point.  The one I’ve come across tonight is Burton Hosting, they offer both Business Web Hosting and Personal Web Hosting as well.  I personally spent more time looking over their Dedicated Hosting but that’s based on the fact that I need…more»

Ongoing Discussions

Sean and I are looking into a new printer for the office. With limited space, having a printer and scanner seperate can kind of get annoying with all of the extra wires in the room. So we’ve been looking into all-in-ones. I personally would like to own the new Kodak’s but Sean is insistent upon the fact that he prefers a Canon. He’s basically trying to convince me that his printer works better, even though the Epson I was using for years could trump his Canon any day. Stepping aside from the battle over which one we’re going to get,…more»

Mac Resources

I’ve been looking into a lot of Mac based resources over the course of the last few months and the one that comes up the most for me is Mac Poker, based off macpokeronline.com.  I’ve been floating around this site for quite some time now.  I can’t tell you how often I play PC based poker but knowing full well that I’ll be switching completely over to Mac so having the right resources, even the ones that are just there to cover my little gambling habit are something I’m going to require right when I take the new computer out…more»

Rentals

So instead of looking into real estate, I found myself getting sidetracked with Hawaii vacation rentals. I came across a three bedroom beach front villa that’s literally to die for. If I ever get to the point where my year-round home looked like this one, I’d probably be the most content person in the free world. It’s rather inexpensive to rent during the summer months. I assume that since December to January is a heavy holiday month, mixed with the cold, spending $800 a day isn’t such a bad deal. I was easily side tracked again though, on the same…more»

Hawaiian Vacation Homes

I’m itching to take a vacation and if I had the money I’d seriously be looking into Hawaii real estate just so I could purchase a summer home. I’m not someone who really enjoys the beach, too many people and I know how hard it is to constantly have to vacuum sand out of a carpet so living on the water just isn’t something I’d ever like to do. However, this doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate a beautiful Ocean View. This could mean either sunrise or sunset, either one is equally appealing to me. I’ve been searching around numerous…more»

Moving Woe’s

With moving to our own place fresh on our minds, we sit back and wonder just how we’re going to go about making ends meet. We’re not overly concerned about it because we know that if we properly budget ourselves, we’ll be able to accomplish just about anything. The big thing for me is whether or not we’re going to take the route of Mortgages or if we’re going to look into houses for rent in whatever area we happen to choose. The option of Mortgages means that not only will we own the house, but the bank will own…more»
