You don’t own me…

Today I came across something pretty interesting. The topic of stem-cell research is a hot-blooded issue with many people, none of which who seem to care about the female’s perspective of things. Men are too thrown into the world where they think they own everything, when it comes to the female body – however – the issue is much larger and females don’t seem to be at liberty to discuss it openly. This goes back to the Neanderthal times when women were supposed to obey and the men ruled the world. Well, to be honest, screw you if you think…more»

Lawsuits don’t stick

While I hate the idea of a lawsuit, I know that sometimes they’re very important. A few years ago my a family member of mine went in for surgery on both of their ankles. She’d had trouble walking for many, many years and when things got to be too much to handle she decided to have something done about it. The surgeon was a little full of himself and instead of paying close attention to important details, he kind of went quick with it and managed to cut a nerve or two and did nothing to repair them. A lawsuit…more»

A rise in answering services

A design company that I used to work for is now depending upon Answering Services so they can outsource their support staff. The issue I have is the loss of a job but at the same time, I can understand their reasoning behind this. If you’re only paid for a 9-5, naturally after 5 rolls around SOMEONE needs to be able to answer the phone and up until recently they were dealing with phone calls at 2am to their personal cellphones. They being Administration. So the best option is to consider looking into an Answering Service that automatically picks up…more»

Need a career?

Have you ever heard of Computer Forensics? I find it to be the coolest thing! There are companies around the US that work with law enforcement to crack cases. If someone is doing something illegal like downloading child porn or harassing people, then it can all easily be tracked on the back end of your computer. You can run clean-out programs all you want but once a file has been on the hard drive it’s information stays there for life. I came across DataChasers, they specialize in this stuff and have a pretty impressive resume to back it up as…more»

Wholesale Sunglasses

I’m someone who can appreciate the status behind D&G Sunglasses. I’m also someone who enjoys getting them for rock-bottom prices too. The D&G’s that I own retail for about $1,200. It’s a bit absurd to spend that on sun glasses which is why I’m happy to get them off the back of a truck, or wholesale as it’s graciously put. So I spent a whopping $30 on a $1,200 pair of glasses that I really do use on a regular basis. As of right now they’re my only GOOD pair so I make it a point to take very good…more»

A $94,000 Watch?!

I’ve been floating around on feelgoodwatches.com. I found them a few days ago but they have a lot of nice looking watches that I’ll never afford. There’s all kinds of different vendors to look through, I’ve been focusing around the patek phillipe watches, because they’re pretty nice looking and how could you not float around a page when there’s watches that cost up to $94,000! I think patek philippe may be a little too expensive for my taste but if I ever get to the point where I’m willing to buy a man an expensive watch then hopefully I have…more»

Staying on top of things with a free credit report.

So I’ve been a little busy over the past few days, I’ve been going through a lot of resources in relation to getting myself a new car. The Baretta that I’m currently driving is Sean’s car and considering it’s a ’95, there are many issues with it and I’m confident that the car won’t last much longer. My only dilemma at the moment is the fact that I’m currently paying off a personal loan that’s costing me about $200 a month, hosting is costing me about $100 (out of pocket due to client loss) and my credit card will run…more»

Looking into a Printing Service

With recent Google issues I’ve found myself looking into other means to get my name out there to bring in some more money to replace what I’ve lost through blogging. While it’s a substantial amount of money, I’m naturally looking into more extreme methods. Sure, I can throw a few of my business cards up onto any tack-board I find but that doesn’t always bring in the best results. Business cards are a great route to take but I’ve actually been looking into Printing Services. Now, I design everything from business logo’s to brochures. I finally had a light-bulb moment…more»

When will things pick up?

It’s my hope to find a job with a reputable company down here, it’s not just about the money because even though things are tight this month, Sean and I do make a decent income to be able to support ourselves. The bank, however, doesn’t see it that way. Since we’re stay-at-home workers we’re considered a “risk” and they won’t approve us for anything, even with taxes being filed on time every year. We’re working on two different things right now, a loan to buy a car and pay off the first loan (refinance) and then a mortgage somewhere down…more»

The Real Estate Experiment

Sean’s aunt came down to visit last week and she’s coming back down this weekend because she’s on a mission. She’s having trouble holding onto her house in New York (as many people nation wide currently are), so she’s looking to purchase a house down here to hopefully escape the extravagant cost of living in New York. There have also been quite a few other topics that have come up during the term of her search. While she’s dead-set on moving to Delaware, Sean and I have also been thinking about other options for her, a big list of every-possible…more»
