Tech Savvy?

Any tech savvy person is looking for numerous ways to save a little money and still get the excellent quality that they’re looking for.  There are quite a few sites out there that offer everything from discount computers and even excellent pricing on the best HDTV’s that companies have to offer.  So why don’t more people use these resources?  Before I went shopping for my Christmas gifts, I made it a point to float around bargain sites so that I could not only gain insight on where the good deals were, but also read up on product reviews and comparisons…more»

Not half bad…

I’m not really an extreme shopper, even if I had a few million in the bank I’d continue to enjoy the wonderful world of Walmart and other fine discount stores. Why? Because there’s no real reason to spend money on things that you’ll rarely use. I don’t see the point in someone spending $150 on a pair of sneakers that are just going to get dirty anyway, but hey that’s my Payless Shoe Source mentality talking here. I’m also speaking in regards to personal usage, when it comes to the business world this is a completely different story. Those who…more»

Morpheus Photo-Morpher

A few months ago I spoke of a program named Morpheus Photo-Morpher. While I don’t spend a lot of time morphing images together, I do enjoy playing around with the program whenever Sean and I take new pictures together. While we’ve only been together for a little over a year now, we know that in some way we were meant to be together, so it’s only natural that I keep some kind of a scrapbook for whenever we do things together. I have quite a few pictures of us from the beginning of the relationship until now and when you…more»

Online Universities

For quite some time now I’ve been looking to go back to school and there are numerous options out there that have kept me interested but thanks to a few outside resources I was able to find out that the bulk of the schools I had in mind were nothing more than diploma scams and there isn’t one job in the US that will actually accept a degree from any of these colleges. So I went back to the drawing board and I’ve come up with a few schools that I’m looking for an opinion on. There’s a lot of…more»

Setting some money aside for Christmas.

I have to say that I’m unhappy with the fact that Christmas makes itself known in July, by this time people are usually done paying off the gifts from the last holiday season and they’re already reminded of the ones they’re going to have to purchase over the next six months. I think it’s absurd but when it comes to the world of making money off just about everything, I can see why businesses do this. With Halloween being over with, almost as quickly as it came, I know now that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. After that is…more»

Increase Your Traffic

Recently, Google updated their Algorithm for page ranks. I used to be PR5 but now I’m bouncing between a PR3 and a PR4 thanks to their updates. I’m not the only one this update has effected though, thousands of websites on the Internet have dropped in rank. Even MySpace and they were once the number one site on the internet with a PR9. Now they’re only a 7 – this is with millions of hits a day and lord knows how many back links. This is another way that Google has screwed me out of something over the years. I…more»

WordPress

For years I’ve gone through every weblog program known to man. I started off on blogger.com with the FTP support, then I graduated to Greymatter when it was the “cool thing to do”. I then moved to B2 which was my first taste of PHP based blogging. From there I played around with Movable Type but found it to be too much of a hassle to really get it to do what I needed it to. I dabbled in CuteNews for smaller sites, quickly upgrading to AcidBlog – a script I wrote quite some time ago. I’ve also gone through…more»

Ecommerce on the rise?

I’m not sure why I’m still sitting here at 11pm but I’m sure my addiction to completing deadlines early has a lot to do with it. While waiting on a response from a client I’ve found myself floating through quite a few job posting sites such in search for a few new jobs to pick up before we actually make the move out to Ohio, this way there’s work waiting for me and it’ll help get that loan paid back much sooner than expected. I’ve noticed a rise in business leads looking for a designer for their new online store.…more»

Top USA Online Casinos

I’ve been poking around a new site in dedication to top usa online casinos.  It’s a pretty basic looking site when you first load it but it’s pretty in depth once you start poking around the different sections.  I looked into Rushmore Casino first because it’s at the top of the list with a 9.8% rating.  I assume it’s a 1-10% rating on the sites involved.  You get a full break down of everything from the overall rating to software rating, trust factor and even bonus and promotions.  There is also a quick review of the casino by the site…more»
