ePERKS

Before I found my home through Remax, I was doing a lot of surfing through many other Real Estate related websites.  The one that’s caught my eye for a while is ePERKS.  You get to learn a lot about the local Realtors in the area you’re interested in living in.  They list their statistics through the site, how many homes they’ve sold and what kind of cash back you can get on the homes that you buy.   I honestly never thought that houses came with a rebate but hey, if that’s just another perk that I have to learn down…more»

Window Treatments

We know from the get-go that the office is going to be kind of small so we’re taking a chance and going to knock the wall out completely.  This will then connect the office to the living room and should hopefully give us more space to move around, this way we aren’t sitting there feeling claustrophobic.  The problem with taking this wall out is the lack of privacy that either one of us would have while in the office, so while it will be opened up for quite some time, I have the bright idea of a hospital room sitting…more»

Home Modification

There are going to be a lot of modifications coming up over the course of the next few weeks. We’ll be doing everything from knocking out a few walls to open the rooms up to garage conversions if there’s one even attached to this place.  I’m also looking into some new windows because lord knows how long the original ones have been there.  We know that recently the house went under some major reconstruction.  The pipes were moved around because they kept freezing so hopefully that has been resolved.  There’s the chance of new carpet, but my big thing was…more»

Washington NC, Real Estate

I’ve done a bit of side tracking while I was going through my daily Internet routines. I came across therichcompany.com where you can search for washington nc real estate. It’s rather expensive to own homes in this particular town. The cheapest one I found was in the $90,000 range and it didn’t look that appealing. The most expensive was in the 2 million range, but considering how gorgeous the house was, I would certainly pay top dollar for it myself. I’m not sure if I’d want to move further South though. I’m not really a big fan of the heat…more»

Going Bald

For thousands of years, men and women alike have been suffering from Hair Loss. It could be genetic, it could be stress related, or its just the environment in general but it’s something that everyone has had to deal with at some point in time. For me, while there is no consistent hair loss in other members of my family there is thinning, which I’m already experiencing it. For a while I was convinced that it’s the wrong shampoo mixed with hard water, but it turns out that my mother and grandmother have been thinning out since they were both…more»

Real Estate Investing, Trump Style!

At some point in time, I’m sure you’ve found yourself trying to figure out how Donald Trumps hair manages to never move, admit it – you know you have. For me personally, however, I’ve also wondered how he could possibly make the kind of money he’s made in Real Estate over the course of the last few decades. Now, there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s a good business man. But how good do you have to be in order to bring in hundreds of millions of dollars a year. On top of that, how can you consistently do…more»

The beauty of WordPress

I’ve had a blog for a little over nine years now, so I can honestly say that I’ve tried almost every blog program and website out there. I started off with a blogger.com account that I then linked to my very first domain name. From there I went to LiveJournal to house a more personal blog and since then I’ve bounced around from program to program on my domains. Greymatter, B2, Movable Type, Express Engine, and now WordPress. I can also state that I don’t ever plan on using anything else but WordPress for the life of my blog. A…more»

Help is on the way!

As many in the U.S. would know, the economy at the moment is absolutely horrible thanks to our oh-so-intelligent lead man running the country. Budgets have been cut, jobs have been closed down, many people have been laid off or are taking some kind of a 10%-15% pay cut just so the businesses they work for can remain above water. Because of this, numerous people have been graced with bad credit because they either can’t pay their bills back in time or have had to take a very high interest credit card just to cover the emergencies of every day…more»
