Looking into a Printing Service

With recent Google issues I’ve found myself looking into other means to get my name out there to bring in some more money to replace what I’ve lost through blogging. While it’s a substantial amount of money, I’m naturally looking into more extreme methods. Sure, I can throw a few of my business cards up onto any tack-board I find but that doesn’t always bring in the best results. Business cards are a great route to take but I’ve actually been looking into Printing Services. Now, I design everything from business logo’s to brochures. I finally had a light-bulb moment…more»

HDTV’s at discount prices!

Any TV buffs out there would probably appreciate this. Today I came across Second Act. They sell refurbished HDTV’s and have both Closeout HDTV’s, Overstock HDTV’s and even standard refurbished electronics in general. They are an authorized dealer of Sharp, Samsung, Toshiba, Denon, Marantz, JVC, Hitachi and many more. They claim to be the lowest cost provider on the Internet. Second Act also offers a “Great Deal of the Day” for even more discounts on your favorite products. You can sign up for their email newsletter or even the RSS feed so you can keep on top of their sale…more»

Can’t park? Blame the poor planning!

Anyone who’s ever driven through New York City would understand how horrible of a trip it really is, this is why the public transport does so well. Not only is it convenient, it saves on the precious gas mileage for anyone’s car. But what about those of us who are brave enough to take matters into our own hands and drive in and around every day? This is typically when companies like desmen services comes in handy. This company provides a service that helps countless numbers of people, all over the United States. They are a nationally leading group of…more»

When will things pick up?

It’s my hope to find a job with a reputable company down here, it’s not just about the money because even though things are tight this month, Sean and I do make a decent income to be able to support ourselves. The bank, however, doesn’t see it that way. Since we’re stay-at-home workers we’re considered a “risk” and they won’t approve us for anything, even with taxes being filed on time every year. We’re working on two different things right now, a loan to buy a car and pay off the first loan (refinance) and then a mortgage somewhere down…more»

The Real Estate Experiment

Sean’s aunt came down to visit last week and she’s coming back down this weekend because she’s on a mission. She’s having trouble holding onto her house in New York (as many people nation wide currently are), so she’s looking to purchase a house down here to hopefully escape the extravagant cost of living in New York. There have also been quite a few other topics that have come up during the term of her search. While she’s dead-set on moving to Delaware, Sean and I have also been thinking about other options for her, a big list of every-possible…more»

Cellphone Customization

I’ve never really been into it before but lately I’ve been doing a lot of customization when it comes to my cell phone. I have a prepaid Motorola W370 from Tracfone. It looks a lot like the Razr only it’s thinner without the Digital Camera and Bluetooth options. I don’t personally need any of that though, what’s the point? I have a digital camera that is usually in my purse 100% of the time and since it’s an 8 Megapixel camera (Olympus SP-350) then I really have no use for digital images via Cellphone. What I have been looking into…more»

Get your hands dirty!

I’m what one would call a “jack of all trades”. Minus some very heavy lifting, I can pretty much figure out and fix everything on my own. I don’t need to call on a “man” when I need to get things done, so naturally I read into just about everything. If I truly wanted to, I could probably build my own home and only have to worry about the cost of land and supplies, as opposed to the cost of the 30 year mortgage that’s only going to bring me to move in 10 years because my job changed or…more»

Moving out of the city…

For the past few days, Karen’s sister has been down here looking into a new home. She’s moving down to Delaware after a 20+ year stay in her current house in New York. She’s found a few different properties, she’s looked into a mortgage and has basically taken it from there. I’ve also been looking into information on Mortgages for my own personal hopes and dreams. Supposedly it’s a buyers market but even with a 30 year fixed mortgage you’re limited as to what you can get, and where you can find an even remotely decent home being sold for…more»

Domain Registration

I’m kind of unhappy with my current domain registration reseller so while I’m also looking around for a new web hosting company, I’m also looking into registrars as well. There are quite a few different companies out there that are both higher and lower in price than the one I’m currently working with. While I have come across valuable companies like paylessdomains.com.au, I have to say that there are ones that are a bit cheaper in pricing as well. At the same time, anything under $12.00 seems to be on the low-end considering the jack-up in pricing on domains lately…more»

Still Undecided

I’m still undecided when it comes to what company I’m going to go through for webhosting. I’ve been poking around sites like web hosting choice just to get a general idea of where the best place to go will be. At the same time, I’m going through numerous support desks just so I can get the answers I need when it comes to server mods and the lack of 500 errors so I can do what I really want to do with my site. I absolutely LOVE using Mars Edit but can’t use it with my current host so there’s…more»
