Road Trip!

Sean and I have set many goals for our relationship, so many that we’re probably going to need to win the lottery in order to achieve them all. Our biggest goal is to travel across the USA, making it a point to stop in every single state before returning home. We admit that it’s going to be a long trip, probably taking a few months to complete, but if we’re financially stable enough to accomplish it, then that’s the route we’re going to take. I’m still hoping to win that $46 Million PowerBALL Jackpot but I doubt that will ever…more»

New Site – RapArtists.com

I just came across a new site that my sister is bound to appreciate. It’s completely centered around hip hop news. It’s one-stop-shopping for any and everything you want to know about your favorite rap artists. It’s called rapartists.com and I have to say that even though it’s not my genre of music, it’s pretty well designed. Artists are easy to find through a simple search and the design makes everything easy to read so you aren’t dodging numerous different banner ads that normally would get in the way with a service like this. It truly was tastefully designed and…more»

Bad Credit – Credit Cards

If you’re like me, you were lucky enough to be considered for bad credit credit cards. From the get-go I’m going to note that I don’t have BAD credit, lending companies look at me with the “Bad” eye because I have a little to non-existent credit history. I’m working on it though, I’m paying my loan, I’m paying my credit card and I’m making it a point to maintain an even flow of money to cover any out-going bills that could potentially effect my credit. A lack of payment on hosting for one month could send me to collections, constantly…more»

I need to get myself out of this hole…

I’ve found a few new programs that will hopefully help me out of my financial hole. I have no choice but to pay my loan back because it’s not only going to effect my credit if I miss a payment, but it’s going to effect my father’s as well since he co-signed for me. At the same time I can’t afford the monthly payments because of a major lack of income right now. I’m working on it to the best of my abilities but I don’t know how long that’s going to last without finally being accepted to any of…more»

Maybe I do need Debt Counseling

With a personal loan, credit cards, and more out-going bills than incoming cash, it’s no surprise that I’ve been looking into debt counseling. I understand that I need X amount of money during the month in order to break even. However, there are a few factors that I just don’t understand. My big thing is figuring out interest rates. I’m really unsure as to why I’m paying back $3500 on a $8,000 loan when it’s only a 9% interest rate. I would like to consolidate but I’m not sure if they’ll even allow me to do it. If I could…more»

Marketing Strategies

I got pretty lucky today. As you know I’m looking to promote my business with something a little more unique than handing out business cards to anyone who’ll take them. I found a company called Gimmees.com, they specialize in Business Promotional Items. You can pick up anything you could possibly imagine to publicize your business and it’s not going to cost you thousands of dollars in bill-board advertising either. I was able to poke through everything from Apparel to Travel Accessories. I focused more on notepads and pens because that really does make the difference. Everyone can use a pen,…more»

Advertising Methods

I’ve been looking into numerous different ways to get my name out there for more business. Sure, I can drop off a stack of business cards at the supermarkets but who honestly pays attention to them? I need something with a bit more – creativity. I’ve noticed a trend in people paying more attention to large Signs instead of the small little cards. Maybe it looks like you can afford to put more into your business, maybe it’s that the population is slowly losing their eye-sight and small cards just aren’t seen. Either way there’s a big rise in car…more»

Video Conferencing in HD!

Tech Nerds have finally stepped up and figured out a way to make face-to-face contact over a broadband connection seem a bit more – REAL. Not only would it be considered technologically advanced, it’s also known as affordable video conferencing. It’s the new high def way of talking to friends, family, business associates and basically anyone over your computer. Oh, did I mention it’s HIGH DEF? Now you can really get away with plugging in your 40″ HDTV to your computer and using it as a monitor. It’d be like watching Lost in HD, only you know exactly where this…more»

Relocating to DelaWHERE?

The past week was pretty hectic. Sean’s aunt was here with her kids and she spent the bulk of the week looking at different properties because she’s hoping to move down here soon. Unfortunately her current mortgage company has decided that it’s time to foreclose on her home and she’s hoping to get out of there with a new home down here so that she doesn’t wind up on the street with two disabled children. She can’t afford her mortgage, no one can afford them anymore. She’s also been looking into Mortgages down here in hopes to find something with…more»

Fantasy Baseball 2008

For the past year or so I’ve been doing a lot of reading into Fantasy Sports. The two that get the most attention in the US (to my knowledge) is fantasy football and fantasy baseball, respectively. I’m sure there are fantasy hockey options but the US truly isn’t known for it’s hockey teams – by any means. While I have been reading into fantasy sports, I still don’t really understand it. I’m a sports fan and all but I don’t really go into the demographics of everything. I just know when someone messes up – it’s bad. And I also…more»
